Bryce's 1st Christmas

Well, my first Christmas was a big success. Santa hooked me up! I got that sweet new pair of headphones I always wanted, so I can listen to the Birth Center Mix over and over again. And the best part was meeting some new relatives. Everyone had a chance to hold me. Big D (my Great Grandpa), Naomi, my cousin who's 6 years older, Mama Gayle, and Papa John, and Nannie (my Great Grandma). All this passing around got me tuckered out so I took plenty of naps with Papa John......although in this photo he looks a little more tired then me. I'm just scared he might roll over:)

We did a photo shoot with our friend Mario the other day, and he took some amazing shots of me and my parents. Of course, it's not TOO hard when you look THIS good. Here's a little teaser for friends and family. Expect a couple prints as gifts soon!

All Aboard the Earthship

Well, so far my first big road trip is going good. We just arrived at the Earthship in Taos where we're going to stay for two nights and relax. Yesterday we stayed with Lauren and Jeff in Las Cruces where I was so excited it took me all night to fall asleep, and the day before we stayed at a wonderful Motel 6 in Tuscon. I also got to climb on my two week birthday. Or at least watch my dad climb and hang out in my Mom's moby wrap. I've been having some gas problems, which has made me cranky, but with a Little Tummys medicine, I'm able to sleep in between feeding. I made it 3 hours today in the car before throwing a milk tantrum.  This picture is of my Mom changing my diapers at the Earthship. I was so excited to get here I immediately pooed myself.

Big Day Out

Well, today was another big day. First I spent a little time sunbathing in front of the window, and then I took my first trip out into the big scary world. Mom tried out her new Moby Wrap given to us by Ma and Pa Smith. I loved it! Reminded me of the good ol' days in the womb. We walked to the Farmers Market and found a few Christmas gifts for family, and picked up some fresh fruit. The, I hung out on the couch and had a "milk shake".....my favorite.  And then, to top off the perfect day I peed on my Dad for the first time while he changed my diapers. He wasn't quick enough to dodge my little fire hose. 

I'm finally here!!

Well, my time inside my warm, cozy sanctuary has come to an end. Mom pushed me out into the bath tub, and freezing cold air on Dec. 7th at 2:15PM, at the Best Start Birth Center in San Diego. I wasn't too happy at first, but now that I've disconnected from the placenta, got wrapped up in a blanket, and found a breast to suckle on, I'm pretty happy again. And I already aced my first test, got a 10 on my APGAR. I'm officially 5 days old now, and it's my Grampy Smith's Birthday. We celebrated my birthday a little late last night with friends and a lemon cake. Although I only got milk from the boobies instead of cake. I was pretty bummed. Dad has been busy changing my diapers, and I take naps in between feeding and pooing myself. Life is good and simple. We might make my first real venture into the great outdoors tomorrow and check out the farmers market in my sweet new ride (my Bob Stroller).
